It’s REVEAL DAY! Y’all six weeks is a long time! I am so happy to be done with this space and to be able to finally share it with you all! As I mentioned in my first post, I am the only woman in my house. I am married to an amazing man and we have three awesome sons. What that means is that my home is action packed and full of testosterone. It just made sense that I would have my own space to make a little girly and retreat from the constant madness. Thankfully, my husband agreed and allowed me to take over this little storage room in the garage.
Over the past six weeks we were able to add flooring, paint and stencil the walls, add floating shelves, craft storage, a workspace, and comfortable seating. I am not even going to lie, working in here has been absolutely amazing!

We have learned so much over the course of this challenge. One of the main things we have learned is that we can do more than we ever thought possible and this is just the beginning. When we first moved in we outsourced and paid so many professionals to do things we probably could have done ourselves the entire time. It feels good to finally have the confidence to at least attempt to do things on our own.

We tried to keep the costs down as much as possible so many of the decor pieces I pulled from my stash. The frames in the gallery wall were once a part of the gallery wall from the old office in the house. I grabbed a can of gold spray paint and now they look like they were always gold and always meant to be in this space. I know some people are against using photographs for decor and prefer to use art, however, I love to see pictures of my guys.

The gold mirror was originally used above our fireplace when I had a completely different color scheme in our living room. I knew that I did not want to throw this mirror out so I kept it and I am so glad that I did. It is such a wonderful addition to this space.

Most of the other decor and accessories I purchased from stores like Target, Hobby Lobby, Ikea, and HomeGoods. One of my favorite pieces is the chair that I purchased from Ikea. I ordered a faux sheepskin cushion from Amazon to top it off and make it a little more comfortable.

My favorite element of the room hands down is the stenciled wall. I ordered this stencil months before the start of the challenge and I was so excited to get it up! I will admit that it took more time and effort than I initially planned for, but I am extremely pleased with the results.

So what do you think about my mom cave? Have you checked out the other participants of the One Room Challenge? Head over to the blog to see the beautiful spaces they have created.
