This past July, I was able to virtually attend the Haven Conference. The Haven Conference is for DIY bloggers and designers and is a weekend packed full with learning as well as brand partnership opportunities. One of the biggest opportunities for the entire conference is The Home Depot’s Orange Tank Competition. This competition is basically like the Shark Tank of the DIY world. This year in order to be considered for any of the prize levels you had to submit a video sharing your plans and concept for the space. I decided to pitch for the $5,000 level.
Well friends… I WON! So we were able to make our homeschool room dream a reality! I received $5,000 from The Home Depot to use in the store or online for all materials and decor. I quickly got to work and was able to find literally everything we needed.
We have been enjoying this space for the past few weeks and we absolutely love it! The boys run down here for school and know exactly what to do to get their school day started. I love that they each have their own workspaces, which helps me keep everything nice and organized.
Our home school room has been so awesome to have as we have transitioned to at home learning this year. This space is so versatile and serves our family so well in many different ways. The boys make sure to use each of those ways daily so it is already getting used to it’s fullest potential! It was so cool to fully explore all that The Home Depot has to offer from building materials to home decor. We are so thankful for this amazing opportunity and for this great space we were able to create with the support of The Home Depot. The full reveal post will be available over at The home Depot blog soon!
The room is so inviting and kid friendly while still displaying the warmth of home. None of my school classes could ever welcome me in that way.
